Musicals at Richter Park in Danbury, CT is presenting PINAFORE the first three weekends in August, but lost their Deadeye at the start of rehearsals. Who did they find as replacement? Hackmatack Playhouse is presenting an interesting production of MIKADO Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8 PM (plus 2 PM Thursday matinees), August 5 - 16 at the Hackmatack Playhouse barn on Route 9 in Berwick, Maine. “ I chose to set this production in a small town in Texas because I believe the stylized dialogue lends itself to the south, and I believe small town politics do also,” states the Director, Mary Tarochione. The Sudbury Savoyards 2004 show will be PIRATES. Stage Director: Emily C. A. Snyder; Music Director: Katherine Engel Meifert (No Kathy Lague and Steve Malionek this year, due to personal and professional conflicts – they’ll be back!)
